a Physics Education Research group @ LOMA

At the LOMA, the Bordeaux University Physics Education Research (BUPER) group is dedicated to exploring innovative teaching methods and improving the overall learning experience in the field of physics for students. We combine our expertise in physics and in teaching to address research problems in physics education.
The BUPER group has been created in 2025 in the LOMA lab as a transverse research group. We are mainly focus on :

innovative teaching methods for Lab work skills : project-based learning, smartphonics, designing of new Lab space
– research about active learning methods to improve student understanding

– development and research related with climate transitions and inclusivity in science
– development of new courses and contents
– physics curriculum design and organization at university (from intro college to master studies)
