“Topological magnons”

Band topology has been one of the central themes of condensed matter physics for well over a decade with very wide-ranging applications to, for example, electronic, phononic and photonic systems. In this talk I will explain some of the distinctive features of topology in magnetic excitations touching on the effects of magnon interactions, the interplay of symmetry and topology and the experimental challenges facing the field.
