The application of THz-wave generated by photomixing of soliton microcomb modes

Soliton microcomb is optical frequency comb with large mode frequency separation up to terahertz (THz) frequency due to the diameter of ring cavity with few tens micro-meter. Optical beat of neighboring comb modes has THz frequency which can be converted to the THz-wave by means of photomixing. Recently, THz-wave generation using soliton microcomb pays attention as a THz-wave source with low phase noise which is transferred from comb modes. In my talk, I will present the generation of low phase noise THz-wave and application of microcomb in THz wireless communication. I will also present another possible application of soliton microcomb as multi-wavelengths laser in optical metrology using optical vortex.
