Hello ! My name is Juliette Lacherez, I belong to Théorie de la Matière Condensée,  in Physique Statistique.

I work under Thomas Salez and Yacine Amarouchène’s supervisions.

I started my PhD in October 2023.

As a numerician, I aim at testing new theories and designing and developing experiments. Numerics are a fantastic tool, as they allow the testing of models otherwise inaccessible to real-life physics (how does one turn off temperature, suppress dimensions, and then recomplexify at will ?).

I mainly work with Langevin simulations of nontrivial systems such as active swimmers in confined flows, or colloids diffusing near deformable and fluctuating boundaries. Such work typically requires heavy data handling, statistical studies and quite a bit of data curation.

I’m also interested in anything computational, as I find it to be a very elegant tool for its accessibility and versatility.

I’m also an avid climber (multipitch, sports, trad and boulder) and I’m very much into travelling (even better if it’s around a climbing location). See you around !
